If you prayed that prayer in the previous post, You are a new creation in Christ Jesus! As the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here. Amen! Your name is writtenin the Lamb's book of Life and it can never be erased! Now, start reading the Bible. It's very easy. Go to a bookstore, your local church, or order online a Bible for yourself! It will be the greatest gift you have ever received. The Bible is alive and active and sharper than any two edged sword as found in Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. This means if you have any concern, problem, or issue in your life, you can seek a scripture in the Bible pertaining to your situation and you can read it over and over, dwell on it, meditate on it and get it down in your spirit, and sow it into your heart. The seed will take root and blossom into your soul. The moment you do this, God's angel armies go to work for you changing your situation around. I'm getting ahead of myself telling you alot all at once, but that's how exciting and powerful God's word is! I can't wait for you to get into the word of God and experience these things for yourself. There are several versions of the Bible you can read, the King James Version, The NIV, the Amplified and many more. Choose which one that you like and that you feel the most comfortable with. If you have the King James version right now, that is fine and well, it is my favorite version! You may ask, where do I start reading? You can start wherever you like. Open up the Bible, and read the first scripture you turn to, write where this scripture is down (Write it down this way; Write the Book name; whether it be Matthew, Luke or Genesis, the Chapter #- 5, 9, or 11, and then the Verse #- 2, 36, or whever the verse number is) in a journal and write the date also. Then you can do an internet search on this scripture to find out what it means, or what story is it a part of? What is the writer trying to say? Is it Jesus speaking? When Jesus speaks in the Bible, the text is always highlighted in red. When you do a search on the scripture, you'll want to be careful to choose a reputable website that has commentary on the scripture. A few websites that are good are; BibleHub.com , BibleStudytools.com , and Biblegateway.com , Bible.com You may also read, in the Bible the verses before the scripture you turned to and the verses after to give you a better understanding of what you're reading and the whole chapter in the Bible. The main goal here is to start reading the Bible, getting the word of God in your spirit. Take your time, go slow, or go as fast as you would like. You recieved the Holy Spirit when you prayed that prayer, and got saved, and the Holy Spirit will illuminate the scriptures to you and help you understand little by little. You will begin to see a transformation and a renewing of your mind through Christ Jesus! Romans 12:2- Do not conform to the patternof this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Happy reading and starting your walk with God! He is always beside you and will never leave you!
